Save Our Rural Towns
The Town Board has mandated an update to the Comprehensive Plan, guided by an anonymous survey that is open to virtually anyone—including non-residents, tourists, and commercial entities far and wide.
Highly organized corporate hospitality and business interests are already mobilizing to influence this plan and expand their footprint into Clinton. If we want to preserve our small-town quality of life, it is critical that our voices are heard loud and clear. Please complete the survey and strongly urge your friends, neighbors, and visiting loved ones to do the same. Make your voice heard before outside interests shape the future of our town.
As concerned citizens, we don’t believe favoring large corporate resorts (wellness centers/retreats) over small local businesses protects our community’s character. Please keep the preservation of our precious rural, small-town feel in mind when completing the Comprehensive Plan survey.

The Town of Clinton desires to maintain its rural character, consisting of natural landscapes, native ecosystems, working farms, small hamlet-scale development and historic structures, while preserving its scenic quality, and to do so in a manner that continues to promote its small town atmosphere and quality of life.
